Graffiti Herstory Project
HERSTORY aka The Graffiti HERSTORY Project was founded in 2016 by lady K-Fever as a visual celebration of woman graffiti writers & artist’s contributions throughout the past 40 years of New York City graffiti History presented by the Bronx graffiti art gallery.
From May to November 2016 herstory presented a series of art events throughout the New York City. This project explores and shares narratives of female graffiti writers and artists through live painting, educational workshops and gallery exhibitions that aim to honor and document a Her-Story that is still being written.
Herstory is an annual all women’s graffiti art series in New York City that organized and presented by The Bronx Graffiti Art Gallery.
Herstory aims to create a support creative family friendly oriented events that celebrates public art through the lens of graffiti female artists in the Bronx and New York City.
Graffiti art is the first element of Hip Hop that began in the late 1960’s and became a worldwide phenomenon that has inspired generations of artists to beautify their community through street art. The Bronx Graffiti Art Gallery is dedicated to dissolving any negative stigma about the Bronx, and misconceptions about graffiti art.
